1. Rose

Without a doubt, the number one seller during wedding season (and probably year round, too!) is the rose. When you think of love, you think of roses, hands down. They are classic and romantic and never seem to go out of style. Roses are available year round and can be found in a wide array of colors, with the most popular being red. Fun fact: The world’s oldest living rose is 1,000 years old. It is located on the Cathedral of Hildesheim in Germany.

2. Hydrangea

Hydrangeas are perfect for filling in the gaps. They are full, bushy, statement flowers that can take any wedding bouquet from flat to fab with just one or two stems! When deciding on the perfect flower to add some texture or volume to your piece, hydrangeas are a must. They are available in many colors such as white, pink, green, blue and burgundy. Plus, for all you allergy sufferers out there, they are allergy friendly!

3. Calla Lily

Getting married in the spring or winter? We found your perfect wedding flower. These trumpet shaped beauties come in two different variations. A tall, long stemmed version, ideal for large centerpieces and bridal bouquets and a short- stemmed version perfect for boutonnieres. Along with sizes, Calla Lilies come in a collection of colors, including the ever-popular ivory, yellow, pink, purple and orange.

4. Tulip

Who doesn’t love Tulips? Not only are they available almost year-round, they are highly affordable as well. They are available in an abundance of colors, including: white, yellow, pink, peach, red, magenta, and purple. Versatility is key with these flowers as you can dress them up for elegance or down for a more casual setting. Did you know: There are currently over 3,000 different varieties of tulips, however the three main types are, Dutch, French and Parrot Tulips.

5. Peony

Pronounced Pee-A-Knee. These wonderful, fragrant, full, soft and fluffy flowers symbolize happiness and are a perfect fit for your wedding. They are extremely popular and mainly available from late spring to early summer. Peonies can push your wedding budget though as they tend to be more of an expensive flower. On the plus side, since they are full and fluffy you don’t have to add many to create a full bouquet or centerpiece.

6. Ranunculus

Can’t afford to have Roses or Peonies at your wedding but absolutely love the look? Give Ranunculus’ (aka Buttercups) a try! However, make sure to check with your local florists to make sure they are available as they are not your typical flower. Normally, they are in season from late spring to mid summer. They come in several colors such as orange, pink, red, white and yellow.

7. Succulents

Ahhh the succulents. Although most are technically just plants, some grow beautiful flowers. Move aside desert weddings these babies are now becoming increasingly popular in weddings throughout the country! Succulents make wonderful wedding décor because they don’t need too much sun or water to stay alive. Hint hint: they would be great as a wedding favor!
