Tip of the Week: Reading Right

Tip of the Week: Reading Right

Hey there all of you Garden of Eden fans out there and welcome to our latest edition of “Tip of the Week,” where we provide all of you some tips and tricks to keep your indoor flowers and outdoor gardens looking spectacular all the year through! This week, we have a tip on improving your rain gauge! Right after the storm, it may be hard to read your rain gauge, with all of the water on the outside masking the markings on the side.  Not only that, but perhaps you have a darker gauge, where it's hard to see all the time where your rain level is. No matter which category most applies to you, we have a simple solution for the both of them.  Go out to your gauge, and put a few drops of food coloring at the bottom of the gauge.  Boom, that's it. By putting food coloring at the bottom, the rain collected will change color (naturally), and will then be easier to read!  For colors, we recommend a red or a yellow, but it is entirely up to you.  You can even get seasonal, and put in a different color dye to reflect the mood of the season! For more quick and easy gardening tips, be sure to check back to our blog every Monday for our latest edition of Tip of the Week!
