Tip of the Week: A Patriotic Garden

Hey there all of you Garden of Eden fans out there and welcome to our latest edition of “Tip of the Week,” where we provide all of you some tips and tricks to keep your indoor flowers and outdoor gardens looking spectacular all the year through! This week, we’re giving you tips on how you can make your garden more patriotic, just in time for all the Fourth of July festivities tomorrow! So the food, drinks, and sparklers are all set for the celebrations tomorrow, but your garden looks like it could use a bit more Uncle Sam?  Even with the “patriot clock” ticking down, there’s a slew of simple things you to give your plants some red, white, and blue flair, without having to plant all new flowers! Regardless of what kind of flowers you have in your garden right now, you can make them stand out with pride with a few red, white, and blue ribbons that you pick up from the nearest dollar store.  If those don’t quite fit your fancy, some small American flags can be stuck into the ground around your plants, to really bring in the festivities.   If you’re looking for that perfect centerpiece for your barbecue, then look no further than your creativity.  Take a mason jar, some red, white, and blue ribbon, and lace it around.  Fill the jar with soil, and either transplant or pick up a red zinnia or white tulip from us.  You can mix and match any flowers you choose, so long as the colors are that of the flag, to create a simple and cheap centerpiece that will blow your guests away!  The sky's the limit for centerpieces like this, so feel free to let it run wild. For more tips and tricks, be sure to check back to our blog every Monday for our latest Tip of the Week!
