Tip of the Week: Daring Diapers

Tip of the Week: Daring Diapers

Hey there all of you Garden of Eden fans out there and welcome to our latest edition of “Tip of the Week,” where we provide all of you some tips and tricks to keep your indoor flowers and outdoor gardens looking spectacular all the year through!

This week, we’re telling you how to give your plants a little nutrient boost before you plant them, with the help of an often-discarded item. For parents, diapers can become quite the burden.  It can be quite frustrating spending time to change your child, only to wind up throwing that diaper in the trash and cause more waste for the environment.

Well, should you happen to be a gardener and a parent, there's another place where those soiled diapers can go. Take your child's soiled diaper, and put it at the bottom of a pot.  Then, fill it up with soil, and plant your seedling.  Done.  No matter if the diaper has No. 1 or No. 2, in it, the nutrients are well sought after by the plant, and will allow it to grow up big and strong; much like your own child. So the next time you change your child, put the diaper aside and put it to good use.  It may seem disgusting, but your plants will thank you for it; trust us. For more simple and easy gardening tips, be sure to check back every Monday for our latest Tip of the Week!
