Tip of the Week: Awesome Aeration

Tip of the Week: Awesome Aeration

Hey there all of you Garden of Eden fans out there and welcome to our latest edition of “Tip of the Week,” where we provide all of you some tips and tricks to keep your indoor flowers and outdoor gardens looking spectacular all the year through! Join us this week, as we give you a great tip on how aeration can help your garden! When it comes to gardening, there are many “basics” you have to do (till the soil, water the plants, make sure they have enough sunlight, etc.)  Among all the things you have to do, aeration should absolutely be one of them, since doing it just twice in a year could mean substantial growth for your plants. Aeration does not have to be a complicated procedure—just grab a pitchfork or auger and drive it into the ground.  One important thing to note here is that you do not want to dig into the ends of the Earth, but rather just a little bit to provide airflow to the root system.  You can choose to leave these holes uncovered for maximum airflow, or you can plug them with expanded shale or gravel. Since it’s great if you do it twice a year in the garden, do it every time you have to change the clocks, so you know that you’ll always be on schedule.  So get your gardening gloves ready, because the clock change is coming in 3 weeks!
