Garden of Eden Feature Flower: Daffodil

Garden of Eden Feature Flower: Daffodil

Hi there all of you Garden of Eden Flower Shop (and chocolates and gifts) fans! We'd like to welcome you all to our latest Feature Flower Friday! Each week, we will be featuring a different type of flower, the meaning behind them and the reasons you would give or present them to someone. Today, we're talking all about the Daffodil. Enjoy! As we're marching, quite literally, into the month of March, today we'd thought we'd feature its birth flower, the Daffodil, as the meaning behind it. While its often recognized in its yellow form, the Daffodil is also available in the colors of orange and white as well. Those in the Christian faith have subscribed to the notion as the Daffodil as a symbol of the Easter holiday as legend says it first bloomed during the resurrection of Christ. In terms of what the Daffodil represents when you present it to someone, the message being sent to that person is one of "You are an Angel." I additionally has come to mean 'rebirth' and 'new beginnings'. Not only is it the birth flower of March, the Daffodil also is the 10th wedding anniversary flower. Quite a versatile bloom is the Daffodil. It is also a perfect addition to any Spring bouquet available at one of our four Garden of Eden south Jersey locations!
