Feature Flower of the Week: White Easter Lilies

Each week, we will be featuring a different type of flower, the meaning behind them and the reasons you would give or present them to someone. Today, we're talking all about White Easter Lilies. Enjoy! The white lily, a symbol of resurrection, are certainly appropriate for any Easter celebration. It has also long stood for innocence, purity,hope and peace. In the Christian tradition, the white Easter lily also means new beginnings and rebirth. Additionally, another legend claims that white lilies grew from the water of Eve's repentant tears as she left Paradise. The lily, with frequent references in the bible, is significant during the Easter season for all of these aforementioned reasons.
