Feature Flower Friday: Zinnias

Hi there all of you Garden of Eden Flower Shop (and chocolates and gifts) fans! We’d like to welcome you all to our latest Feature Flower Friday! Each week, we will be featuring a different type of flower, the meaning behind them and the reasons you would give or present them to someone This week, we’re covering the Zinnia.  Enjoy! Zinnias are brightly colored, exuberant flowers that can truly make any room pop with color.  However, despite their prominent colors, the zinnia also has some prominent symbolism attached to it. In its simplest form, a zinnia symbolizes affection, endurance, or a daily remembrance of something.  The symbolism can become more specific depending on what color the flower is; a trait that is common with flowers of all types. A magenta zinnia means the feeling of lasting affection for someone, whereas a white zinnia represents goodness.  Mixed zinnias, on the other hand, represents that someone is thinking of an absent friend. No matter what the occasion for your zinnia is, we think that they would look beautiful in any arrangement of flowers.  To have a few zinnias placed in your next order, just specify with any one of our trained florists, and they would be happy to oblige.
