Feature Flower Friday: Zinnia

Hi there all of you Garden of Eden Flower Shop (and chocolates and gifts) fans! We’d like to welcome you all to our new Feature Flower Friday! Each week, we will be feature a different type of flower, the meaning behind them and the reasons you would give or present them to someone else. Join us this week, as we cover the zinnia! Zinnias are the pinnacle of a great spring flower: easy to grow, easy to maintain, and blooms with vibrant and beautiful colors.  However, their colors aren’t the only thing vibrant and beautiful about them—just look to their symbolism for proof. Generally, the zinnia represents strength and persistence, as they bloom in a multitude of conditions, and will last for a while, regardless of external factors such as weather or bugs.  The fact that their wonderful colors still persist represent staying positive and bright through many challenges; perfect for that person who goes through the grind with a smile. To compound the meaning of the flower, a specific color can carry a totally different meaning.  For example, a yellow zinnia stands for remembrance, whereas red is for faithful ties.  White, common with many other flowers, stands for pureness, and magenta is for lasting affection. No matter what you plan to use the zinnia for, know that the Garden of Eden Flower Shop is your one-stop-spot for everything floral.  Just pop on in and see what we can do for you. Enjoy your weekend!
