Feature Flower Friday: Snapdragon

Feature Flower Friday: Snapdragon

Hi there all of you Garden of Eden Flower Shop (and chocolates and gifts) fans! We’d like to welcome you all to our new Feature Flower Friday! Each week, we will be feature a different type of flower, the meaning behind them and the reasons you would give or present them to someone else. Join us this week, as we cover the snapdragon flower! Snapdragons are beautiful, yet slender flowers that come in season during the summer, and make for stunning arrangements—both for around the home and for a wedding bouquet.  But it’s appearance isn’t the only thing that makes it beautiful, as the meaning goes deeper into the wonder of the snapdragon. Typically, the snapdragon symbolizes grace, and strength under pressure.  In addition, some view the snapdragon to be good luck charm, much like that of the clover.  However, the color of the snapdragon will help to pin down a more specific meaning. For example, a purple snapdragon conveys messages of spirituality, whereas yellow—like sunflowers—convey the essence of the sun and good will.  Red, as typical of many flowers, means love and passion, and white stands for innocence, another generic meaning for flowers of the color. Regardless of the message you are trying to send, know that you can always get it right with the trained florists at the Garden of Eden Flower Shop.  Just come on in, and tell us what you’re looking for or what you want to say, and you can be assured that you will leave with exactly what you need.  Stop on in at any of our locations today to experience the Garden of Eden difference! Have a great weekend!
