Feature Flower Friday: Marigolds - from Garden of Eden Flower Shop

Hi there all of you Garden of Eden Flower Shop (and chocolates and gifts) fans! We'd like to welcome you all to our latest Feature Flower Friday! Each week, we will be featuring a different type of flower, the meaning behind them and the reasons you would give or present them to someone. Today, we're talking all about Marigolds. Enjoy! Popularly known as the birth flower of October, the marigold is coveted for both its versatility as well as its vibrant beauty. There are two types of marigolds - tagetes and calendula. The calendula is believed to be used as an herbal solution for treating minor cuts and even chapped lips! They are a colorful bloom and come in colors such as gold, orange and white. This fall flower - with its bold color - symbolizes creativity and passion. The yellow and orange varieties are also known to mean light and sun. They are a wonderful addition to any fall bouquet. We invite you to stop in one of our locations and pick up some beautiful marigolds today.
