Feature Flower Friday: Lavender

Feature Flower Friday: Lavender

Hi there all of you Garden of Eden Flower Shop (and chocolates and gifts) fans! We’d like to welcome you all to our latest Feature Flower Friday! Each week, we will be featuring a different type of flower, the meaning behind them and the reasons you would give or present them to someone This week, we’re covering the lavender flower.  Enjoy! The lavender flower is arguably one of the best known flowers out there, along with roses, sunflowers, and daisies.  This simple yet elegant flower has caught the eye of royalty for centuries, and comes with a heavy symbolism attached to it that can spread deep depending on the context in which it is given. As a general rule of thumb, the lavender represents grace, calmness, devotion, and purity.  However, lavenders are also known to commonly represent spiritual well-being and an acknowledgement of a  higher-purpose.  With this being said, lavenders make a great gift to anyone who is calm and collected, yet strives to fulfill their ultimate purpose, whatever that may be. In addition, the lavender is also hailed as a symbol of femininity, due to its symbolism of elegance, grace, and refinement--all major qualities in a empowered woman. Unlike other flowers, the color of the lavender does not play a huge role in its specific meaning.  Purple has long been known as the color of royalty, and pink is best represented as youth, which are generally the only two colors lavenders can be found in. While lavender flowers can make any woman feel empowered and grateful, they look excellent in basically every setting, including your next arrangement from us.  To include a few dazzling lavenders into your next order, just let the florist know and they will be more than happy to accommodate. Enjoy your weekend, and be sure to check back next Friday for our latest edition of Feature Flower Friday!
