Feature Flower Friday: Jasmine

Feature Flower Friday: Jasmine

Hi there all of you Garden of Eden Flower Shop (and chocolates and gifts) fans! We’d like to welcome you all to our new Feature Flower Friday! Each week, we will be feature a different type of flower, the meaning behind them and the reasons you would give or present them to someone else. Join us this week, as we cover the jasmine flower! Originally from the warm Asian climate, the jasmine flower has grown into a symbol of love and affection worldwide.  Strong, beautiful, and fragrant, this flower has become the favorite of many, and once you know all the meanings of the jasmine flower, you’ll want to make it your favorite, too! As we said, love and affection are at the forefront of the meaning, but beauty and sensuality are encapsulated by the flower as well.  When used in a religious ceremony, the flower transitions to a meaning of purity and unity, making it a fantastic flower to choose for a wedding.   Now, if you're looking to gift the flower to someone, the color of the jasmine you choose can alter the message you send.  Should you choose a yellow jasmine, the meaning changes to a warm-hearted and affectionate feelings of friendship...not necessarily something you would want to give to a potential lover.  Instead, stick with a white or a pale-blue one for that instance. In addition to all this, jasmine flowers can also be used in tea, and are still used to treat certain eye and skin diseases in some parts of the world.  Now, that’s what we call a pretty impressive flower! No matter how you choose to use the jasmine flower, know that we here at the Garden of Eden Flower Shop are here to help.  Just stop on in today, and see what we can do for you. Have a great weekend!
