Feature Flower Friday: Hibiscus

Feature Flower Friday: Hibiscus

Hi there all of you Garden of Eden Flower Shop (and chocolates and gifts) fans! We’d like to welcome you all to our latest Feature Flower Friday! Each week, we will be featuring a different type of flower, the meaning behind them and the reasons you would give or present them to someone This week, we’re covering the hibiscus.  Enjoy! The hibiscus is what we call a true summer flower--it reaches its full bloom in the summer, and will shrink back down to size once the warm weather has passed.  Since the hibiscus will only bloom for a short period of time, it is often meant to symbolize delicate or fleeting beauty. In addition, the hibiscus flower has been called the "flower of the hour" due to its short bloom window.  Thus, if someone gifts you a hibiscus, it could mean that they are urging you to seize the moment or to take an opportunity, before time runs out. Hibiscus flowers are a beautiful addition to any home, as they convey the true message and warmness of summer.  You can use them to brighten up any room, or to brighten up someone's day. To add some hibiscus into your next order from us, simply ask.  We would be more than happy to accommodate your request! Have a great weekend, Garden of Eden fans!
