Hi there all of you Garden of Eden Flower Shop (and chocolates and gifts) fans! We'd like to welcome you all to our latest Feature Flower Friday! Each week, we will be feature a different type of flower, the meaning behind them and the reasons you would give or present them to someone. Today, we're talking all about Freesia. Enjoy: The Freesia flower is available in a variety of colors and emits a beautiful lemon scent. Its scent is often used in perfumes and other personal care items such as lotions. These flowers are native to South Africa and are classified in the iris family. According to experts, there 14 species of Freesia. Freesia can be presented when wanting to express love and friendship. The flower is also a symbol of trust and is therefore is popularly used for weddings. As such, it is also known to mean faithfulness. If you are celebrating your seventh anniversary, it is also appropriate to present your love one with Freesia.
