Feature Flower Friday: Daisies

Feature Flower Friday: Daisies

Hi there all of you Garden of Eden Flower Shop (and chocolates and gifts) fans! We’d like to welcome you all to our latest Feature Flower Friday! Each week, we will be featuring a different type of flower, the meaning behind them and the reasons you would give or present them to someone This week, we’re talking about the Daisy.  Enjoy! The daisy is a simple flower that hails from northern and central Europe, that has captured the attention of several societies in the past few centuries.  Due to its simplicity, the daisy is generally known to symbolize innocence, purity, and gentleness,.  However, the daisy also symbolizes a simple yet intricate love, all depending on the context. In Victorian times, the daisy was often used as the "heartbreak" flower:  If a woman was heartbroken and longed to love again, she would take a daisy and pluck the petals one by one, saying "He loves me, he loves me not."  The last petal standing determined if the man still loved her (or at least that's how the legend goes). While we don't recommend consulting a daisy for love advice, we do recommend adding a few daisies into your latest bouquet, especially if it is for someone you care for.  The simplicity of the daisy can expertly communicate your confounded love, while keeping things at a light tone. To order your bouquet of daisies, or to add them into an arrangement, simply give us a call, tell us about who the arrangement is for, and we'll have something special for you in no time.  It's a stress-free way to put a smile on the face of someone you care about, so give us a call today!
