Feature Flower Friday: Dahlias

Feature Flower Friday: Dahlias

Hi there all of you Garden of Eden Flower Shop (and chocolates and gifts) fans! We’d like to welcome you all to our latest Feature Flower Friday! Each week, we will be featuring a different type of flower, the meaning behind them and the reasons you would give or present them to someone This week, we’re talking about the Dahlia.  Enjoy! Dahlias are often regarded as a bold flower that peaks in the summer months.  They are bushy, tuberous flowers that hail from Mexico. These flowers have a very strong sense of symbolism attached directly to them, and thus, can make for an extremely meaningful gift if, done right.  Typically, dahlias stand for enduring grace, emphasizing on inner-strength, dignity, and elegance.  In addition, dahlias are equated to a strong sense of creativity and standing strong when it comes to personal values.  Also, the dahlia is a symbol of commitment, often one that will last forever. Dahlias are often used to celebrate love and marriage, but they can also be gifted to someone who has a strong sense of purpose, yet retains a smooth grace about themselves.  To have a few dahlias placed in your next arrangement, just let us know.  We would be more than happy to accommodate your request, as to make sure that your special someone receives the gift of flowers that they so rightfully deserve. Enjoy your weekend, Garden of Eden fans!
