Tip of the Week: It's a New Year, Make Room for New Buds

Hey there all of you Garden of Eden fans out there and welcome to our latest edition of "Tip of the Week," where we provide all of you some tips and tricks to keep your indoor flowers and outdoor gardens looking spectacular all the year through! Today's tip will teach you how to make room for new buds this New Year. We hope you enjoy! If you have a home-grown garden, there are several types of plants that will benefit from you removing old leaves.

One of these types are called hellebores, which are broken down into two separate groups:

  • those that produce flower stalks from the ground level
  • those that have leafy stems which will flower the next year
In this instance, only the first group should be trimmed. You can remove them at the ground level in order to make way for new bugs and then emerging leaves. Additionally, if there are any leaves with black blotches on them, remove them as well.
