Each week, we will be featuring a different type of flower, the meaning behind them and the reasons you would give or present them to someone This week, we’re covering the Camellia.  Enjoy! In the floral world, camellias are considered to be one of the most showy flowers out there.  With great green leaves and a wide variety of color, camellias can be a bright addition to any arrangement.  However, underneath their vibrant hues stands a deep meaning, one where the camellia really stands out. Overall, the camellia is known for giving off some very positive vibes.  Specifically, camellias can stand for perfection, excellence, faithfulness, desire, and passion, just to name a few.  In addition to this, the camellia represents southern beauty in the United States, so if you are planning a southern or rustic wedding, the camellia is the right flower for you. Now, since the camellia comes with a wide array of colors, each one has a specific meaning.  Pink camellia stand for longing, while red represents passion and desire.  White is purity, but it can also mean the intense love shared between a mother and child.
